8.5.1.100 Break Bulk Bulk Cargo Warehouse

Cargo Auto Volume Calculation

A new feature has been added to auto calculate the total volume for Break Bulk and Bulk cargo types that use the “Allow Auto Volume Display xQty” option.

The system is going to use the following calculation: Total Volume =((L x H x W) x Quantity Pieces) x Total Quantity .

If the [quantity Pieces] or the [Total quantity] is null, the system will use the 1 as a default quantity

This calculation will be used  when the cargo type has “Allow Auto Volume Display xQty” set to true and the sub cargo type “Allow Auto Volume Display xQty” set to false.

The cargo sub type must have height, width, length, quantity and volume configured for auto volume calculation to work.

Auto volume calculation  will be applied in the following situations:
Creation of receival cargo in the Road Gate
Creation of receival cargo in the Voyage Operations screen
Creation of receival cargo in the Pre-Note screen
When loaded via user-defined EDI.

In the data entry screens as any of the following fields have data amended the volume will be re calculated.
Length, Width, Height, Quantity, Pieces.

If the cargo sub type has dimensions specified these are shown as defaults that can be changed.

The auto calculation is also available in the cargo enquiry via a new right click option ‘Auto Volume Calculate’.

The Auto Volume Calculate screen has been added to the cargo enquiry screen to recalculate the total volume based on any discrepancy on the following items:
Total quantity, length, width and height plus pieces.

Again in the data entry screens as any of the following fields have data amended the volume will be re calculated.
Length, Width, Height, Quantity, Pieces.

There are 2 new terminal permissions needs to be configured to use this form:

If any of the details are changed a new transaction is created – Volume Discrepancy.

This enhance is available in Master Terminal 8.5.1.100.
