With the introduction of the verified gross mass into the Coparn message format, Operators are using this message to transmit specific container information to terminals.
On the EDI Party Maintenance screen, you can now configure Master Terminal to process a COPARN EDI message as a booking, pre notification, or a release request, based on a value in the BGM1.1 message segment.
The following diagram shows the processing options that you can configure for COPARN messages on the EDI Party Maintenance screen.
- 27 in the first element in the BGM segment, the value is processed as a pre-notification; for example, BGM+27+20090630233157+9‘.
If the EQD message segment contains a cargo identifier, a pre-notified cargo item is created if the message mode is 9 (Add). If the message mode is 5 (Update), the pre notified cargo item is updated.
- 11 in the first element in the BGM segment, the value is processed as a booking; for example, BGM+11+20090630233157+9′.
- 12 in the first element in the BGM segment, the value is processed as a release request; for example, BGM+12+20090630233157+9′.
