JMT LOLO Vessel Definition Prototype Part 1

This is a new development for defining LOLO bay definitions, what is detailed here may or may not appear in the final product.

The user is initially presented with a blank  canvas plus some attribute and slot drawing tools.

The idea is that the user can define cell and tiers, but also defines the layout of the bay view, including  font, colour and position of labels, plus notes and indications to aid the planner in the actual planning screen.

For graphically defining the cells and tiers that make up a bay the user will be presented with a ‘positions’ tool. This tool will work in ‘on deck’ or ‘under deck’ mode and will show the user a grid that represents the largest bay that the user will ever need to define. Depending on on deck or under deck the tier labels will be changed.

With the ‘Mirror’ option on the user simply draws the slots that are required on the port side and the starboard side is drawn automatically.

Clicking ‘Draw Slots’ will draw the slots and the cell and tier labels on the main drawing canvas.

Clicking  the ‘New Hatch’ button draws a new hatch to the graphic.

The hatch can be repositioned, aligned and resized as appropriate.

Any items can also be copied and repositioned.

The user can define under deck hatches as well, the user can select a group of slots and move to allow a new hatch to be specified.

Other tools exist for definition of on ship cranes, labels and indicators, all can be personalised with text, font size and colours.
